Very fair basis for determine hours

They give you sick day coverage to care for yourself or your family with you accumulate by how many hours you work as well as being able to take the time you need without penalty

At Apple, if you're sick you're sick, so everyone expects you to stay home. I don't recall how this worked, if I had a bank of sick days or if I just took days off that weren't charged against my PTO.

You get penalized for using sick time, unless you are caring for immediate family or you have a health appointment that you schedule off in advance. If you are chronically ill, see a doctor and look into intermittent leave or partial disability.

Very flexible and helps people who are needing only part time work.

They allocate sick days as separate than vacation days. That's a double-edged sword. You can take sick time without using vacation, but you also don't get cash it out when you leave the company.

Whenever I get sick, I just take one day off, no need to put it on record.

Apple gives 15 sick days for all corporate employees.

Sick days accrue all year. If you have to take a sick day or more, they rebuild again.
