I had already had a couple years of experience in this so it was pretty easy for me. One of our host trainers has made a few hosts cry before. Most of the hosts that have been trained recently aren't able to close weekends, work busy nights, or coordinate. So, something needs to be implemented to fix that problem.

They sit you down at a small computer and make you watch videos and then take relevant quizzes, however this does not prepare you for the work and is basically just a liability thing.

I had a really good trainer. She went through everything with me before I ever had to work alone, so I felt comfortable.

The training was decent. My trainer was very good and taught me the menu and the input program. No training will prepare you for how to deal with some people though.

It's usually a coworker aka a Neighborhood Expert training you for about a week. They use this stupid pamphlet but nobody really follows it. They cover the basics but the rest is trial, error, and common sense.
