The person who was training me was fired during my training and I was expected to fill her position after two days of training. I was a certified neighborhood expert for expo,server, and bar. I was the only certified trainer at my location for bar yet other people repeated were assigned to train new staff members over me.

Job training was highly dependent on who did the training, and the trainers were not really trained, so it wasn't standardized across trainers.

Depending on the type of or caliber of employee who trained you, the training experience could vary greatly. Most of it was a baptism by fire, much of the training videos did nothing more than tell you how to upsell items.

In short, there is no training. If you can't learn from outside observation, you won't get it. Trainers don't train (except Jeff R and Dayna) they get through the day to get their free meal.
