Banner is pretty much a monopoly when it comes to health care and hospitals in the Phoenix area. The medical premiums are extremely high for a company this size. Large corporations have generally been known to take care of their employees but Banner could truly care less about their employees when it comes to medical coverage. Banner is self insured meaning they do what they want and they keep raising premiums and co-pays every year. $25 for PCP & $50 for specialist. I looked at an EOB for my visit to a specialist and after my $50 co-pay Banner only paid $12.67 I damn near paid for the whole visit! Prescriptions are $10 co-pay which is decent but their pharmacy network doesn't include CVS. What? Banner is crap and their employees are generally not happy.

Nothing decent, they have an HSA where you pay a premium depending on your family status and give you 1200 (if you do their one time biometric) or $600 (no biometric).

Choices are limited. Banner is "self insured" which benefits them and not the employee. Limited options for the employee

Worst thing about Banner's benefits are a limited amount of paid holidays.

These plans are crap, its cheaper, better deductible, and more coverage and options by going to market. If you are single, don't even consider this plan. As a family, its comparable if you make 60k a year or more. if your a family or make less than this, using the e change is several hundred cheaper with similar benefits. Screw this company, the benefits used to make up for an average of 30% lower pay, but now we pay more for benefits, make less money, and are generally screwed.
