Employee Discounts

There are three levels of discount, 1-2 years is Basecamp, 2-7 is Timberline and 7+ is Summit

Discounts at the store itself are marginal 5-15%, when purchasing through vendors using a pro form purchase program, they can be up to 60%

Pretty minimal discount unless you've been there for 7+ years. Also, they're very accusatory when it comes to using it so you might as well not and avoid the confrontation.

Cabela's employee discount is a three tier program. Base Camp, Timberline and Summit. You move up in tiers based on the amount of time you have worked with the company. If you retire with Cabela's, you receive the basecamp discount for life.

Vendor discounts via 3point5 Training are excellent and so is the in-house discount. The percent off is dependent upon time with the company.

Discount was based on years of service so it rewarded long-term employees. Additional discounts were available through online programs and at the in-store cafe.

takes awhile as it is a tiered discount, so watch the sales, sometimes the sales prices are better than the employee discount at least for the first 7 years.

The discount varied on products. You got more for Cabela's brand products which were great products made by reputable companies. They also offered friends and family discounts to share a couple times a year. Also around Christmas you could buy one product for green sheet price which is what they pay for it. That was awesome!
