Up to 25% 0-2 years, up to 40% 2-7 years, cost plus 5% 7+ years

Cabelas employee discount is great! The more years you are there, the bigger your discount gets.

It is a tiered discount structure and is based on the number of years you have been with the company.

the discount increases over time. Until after 2 years you have the "basecamp" level discount. After that comes "Timberline" which is only slightly better. Only after 7 years does the "Summit" discount kick in - which admittedly is huge.

Cabela's has 3 tiers of discount...if you've been with the company for 7 years or more, it ends up being cost +5%. Which is really awesome.

employee discount grows the longer you are working for the company. Motivates you to stick with the company to see additional discounts. At 2 years the discount gets pretty decent.

Cabela's brand items have even greater discounts than other items. Bargain Cave items even greater.

gets better in 4 discount tiers over 7 years

If you've put in enough time, the employee discount is great. Not high enough for the lower employees who probably need it the most until they've put in 7+ years.
