The health insurance is terrible -- almost as bad as Cengage itself!

We use to have better coverage that made it worth while to stay at Cengage even though your raises were a mere 2% year after year, now their medical is rising more than 2% each year along let alone cost of living.

Regular increases in health insurance costs, but that's typical in most workplaces.

I used the high deductible plan. It wasn't too expensive, but my goal is to not get sick. I don't think I went to the doctor or got a prescription while I worked there.

The choices, as is the case everywhere, but does not amount to true choice, are essentially about paying very high upfront premiums to reduce copays or paying lower (but still outrageous) premiums and pay extremely high copays.

Offered a variety of health plans but the dental plans were abysmal. Only the HMO dental plan would cover braces yet it was difficult to find a decent dentist within the network.

We have three dental options which offer varying levels of coverage for our employees and their families. While the Dental HMO does offer orthodontia, you are limited to the network only. However, the Dental PPO Plus Plan also offers an orthodontia benefit and provides both in and out of network coverage with a strong national network of orthodontists.
