If you need to be seen by a health care professional in a timely manor as a resident, better go private pay.

Good - very inclusive plan with easily accessible services at the hospital (walking distance). The dental package also allowed me to get orthodontic treatment, which was a plus.

Health insurance has several options. The lowest costing ones require you to have a Raleigh or Durham zip code. You can choose between several doctors. The lowest costing plan is thirty two a month.

The health insurance program can be considered "good" as Duke has its own hospital system, but not necessarily "better" compared to its regional competitor - the UNC hospital system. The coverage is affordable is one is employed full-time. The annual premium is about $4000 (as of 2017) for basic coverage of a family.
