Wide package of benefits available with VERY minimal subsidy from Apex. Example: full health for a family, plus LT/ST disability and a basic life insurance can run $2000/month. Mostly because you are forced by regulation to select employer's health plan...and Apex has not done well in negotiations. Better coverage for less cost available through exchange - but IRS requires you to purchase through employer. PLUS the enrollment window for the exchange and Apex are out of cycle, disallowing you to drop and explore other options.

Time off policy was really not great. 10 combined days for sick time and vacation time isn't a lot for a stressful environment.

Vacation is 10 days in your first year, 15 days in year 2-5, and 20 days after 5 years. We also have 9 holidays, 3 floating holidays, you birthday, and a philanthropy day off. We work a skeleton schedule between Christmas and New Year's. There are also other opportunities to win PTO in Sales Contests. 401(k) matching is offered up to 6%.

The best thing about the insurance coverage is that is was affordable since Apex is a nationwide company with many people paying into the system.

Great 401K plan with matching. Benefits are decent and come out of weekly check. PTO, OPA, etc.

Apex offers good medical, dental and vision healthcare package and 401k. I did not participate in the 401k plan. The medical package offered was one of the best.

I understand being a contractor means you are not allowed benefits through whatever place you are working for, but the benefits this agency offers are terrible. No paid holidays (only hours worked/hours paid), no vacation time whatsoever, premiums for the minimal health coverage are ridiculously high.
