The Fastenal discount is ok if you are into fixing things or have someone close to you fixing things. But if your single and living in an apartment, you can only get so much from them.

I never actually used my discount. The items that I wanted at the time were not needed, I would have like to have seen some more discounts especially in the surronding area.

The discount isn't bad percentage wise, but you can still buy most items cheaper at competitor stores than with your employee discount due to fastenals insane markups on products.

Most items are discounted to company cost plus 5%, usually saves you A LOT. Higher ticket items like power tools don't see the same discount but for good reason, company has 20,000 employees.
