Part time offered no benefits

I am part time so I have no opportunity for benefits. They don't even provide the shirts for part timers. So I am wearing a fellow employees shirts.

The benefits are below average. They are paying employees a wage that barely covers medical and dental, but they tout how they match 401(k) contributions. Employees cannot afford to make 401(k) contributions. The ex-CEO took home $1.5 million during his last year as CEO, up 85 percent from the previous year, but regular employees have had a wage freeze since 2007.

-Medical/Dental: Good coverage, lots of choices in Doctors. No Complaints. Had a child that required A LOT of extra medical care and the doctors, nurses, hospital, and insurance company treated us great. -401k: Good, typical plan. Company pays extra Fastenal stock based on annual profits which is a great long term investment. -Great employee discount -Typical vacation: 10 Vacation days, 5 sick days, use it or lose it. Additional vacation days after 5 years. -If you have a good manager you have lots of flexibility with how you use your time off.

No benefits and a part time employee

Health insurance is better than most places I know of. Decent profit sharing plan with a match based on your contribution.

Great benefits 401k Started at 3 months. Full Benefits at promotion to full time.

Overall, Fastenal's benefits package has exceeded my expectation. In talking with friends and family members I have come to realize how blessed I am to work for an organization that offers the different benefits we have available.
