GE strives to provide competitive employee benefits packages in the regions and industries in which we have a presence. Our wide range of employee services, retirement, health and other benefit plans are designed to help eligible employees make the best decisions for themselves, their family, and their lifestyle.
Best: Certain level of leadership have unlimited personal time off and get bonuses. Worst: pay structures and bonus-eligible positions are not widely known

Benefits are slightly above average. One would think GE's size would result in reduced health insurance costs but not the case. $01K matching is inferior to previous entity.

There is a new permissive vacation policy which leaves vacation up to the discretion of your manager. It is not a fair or equal practice since many managers discourage the use of it. There is a generous paternity leave now available however that is up to the discretion of your manager as well.

Paid time off for the professional and lead bands is 3 weeks. However, taking time off was discoraged in my group, where 60-70 hour work weeks were the norm. Work-life balance was practically non-existent and employees were expected to work 12 consecutive days during busy season.
