GE strives to provide competitive employee benefits packages in the regions and industries in which we have a presence. Our wide range of employee services, retirement, health and other benefit plans are designed to help eligible employees make the best decisions for themselves, their family, and their lifestyle.
Healthcare benefits are the worst in high tech. HSA at GE was same cost as PPO as other high tech organizations. Very high deductibles(like $4,000 per person per year) and out of pocket maximums (like $7,000 per person per year)
But, for some odd reason - they have really high charity matching... like up to $25,000.

Some of the worst medical benefits I have ever had. 10 days vacation with 3 floating holidays up to 5 years, then it goes to 15 days.

401k is like industry average. Healthcare is terrible.

Solid benefits package. Strength is 401k program although investment options continue to be somewhat limited (stock and bond funds...no individual stocks aside from GE and no REITs or similar)

401k is good although investment options while expanded are still limited to primarily stock and bond funds. Health insurance cost is pretty much in line with what is available in the marketplace, so not a true benefit from an employee perspective. Vacation has moved to a "permissive" approach recently which means there is no defined vacation time but you take vacation as you need it as long as it doesn't affect your job.

Best thing is $1000 company contributes to out of pocket expenses.

There's no copayment for doctors visits so everything (with the exception of annua check ups) goes towards deductible
