Sick Leave

You don't work, you don't get paid, simple. There aren't any benefits from not working.

I believe it was 6 sick days a year the company gave you (as of 2015), but as a salaried store manager I never used a single sick day in the almost two decades I was employed there. Only once in all those years did I attempt to leave early (worked until 2pm instead of 5pm), because I was so sick. My district manager threatened me over the phone on my way home, so I turned around and went back in to finish my shift. My suggestion to any employee working for that company is to never take a sick day if you are looking to make it a career. I learned very quickly trying to take one is severely disapproved.

As a part-time game advisor or senior game advisor, there are no paid sick days. If you don't work, you don't get paid which is.... lovely.

If your sick they want you to call out as to not get any one else sick

You accrue sick hours for every certain amount of hours worked. Don't rem exact amount though. More than I ever used up

They didn't mind at all if you were sick they didn't want to get sick so as long as you had a note you were fine :)

My store manager was in the hospital and almost died. The district manager came to the hospital to tell him he needed to be in the store now or his job could be in jeopardy. It didn't matter that we had it under control at the store while he healed.
