For a small to medium sized business, the benefits are adequate. However the health insurance premiums have risen year over year and there is no matching 401k program, just a company sponsored program with some fees covered. If there was a matching 401k or equity buy-in options and maternity/paternity time off that would bump it to a five star.

Health insurance with HR was a nightmare for me. I wasn't enrolled when I said I would be and the plan is used with Cigna wasn't covered by a lot of the more well-known hospitals and offices in my area in the South Bay. That being said, management isn't stingy with time offs, vacations, and sick days. As long as they feel like you're pulling your own weight, they'll generally let you take vacations and sick days when you need to. If your commute is bad, they'll let you work from home on certain days as well.

NO 401K matching, good medical plan, dental is only ok and not much of a vision plan, company pays for a nice part of the medical and dental

A bit expensive for the employee even if the employer pays 80%. Only Cigna option (no Kaiser which is what I'm used to), but it's hard to beat $300 for a surgery.
Hawk Ridge Systems
Note: the company pays 85%! ;-)

the best thing is that we really have lots of benefits. the worst thing is no 401k match
