There are very few things that can go wrong with a human being that the health insurance offered by IBM does not cover

Good basic insurance for minimal cost

It was a great benefit at one time.

The cost to employee has been steadily rising. If you have a family, this is a decent dent in your take home pay.

Great coverage and no deductible. Network was also very extensive...overall great health care insurance!

Health Saving account is great!

Company funded so employees in US have ever increasing deductibles and growing out of pocket maxs. If you're single, IBM is OK. If you have a family, costs are per child up to 6 (no group family premium). Basic dental is ridiculously high - $21 per month (per person in family) for simple 2 cleanings and 1 x-ray a year

Plans fairly flexible but have moved close to average in recent years

They give you several options to choose from, as in you can pick your healthcare provider, the coverage (co-pay etc.)
