The benefits package is pretty standard. The best part of the benefits package as a Regional Project Manager is that is it offers a pretty fair bonus.

You get a discount on store brand items. You get vacation time after one full year. The insurance could be better but that isn't the company's fault. You are able to pay into a retirement package after a couple of years.

The best thing about the employment package is the money and benefits. However you sacrifice your normal working hours for that time. Not good if you have small children

Discounted private labels were nice. Also received a dollar per hour bonus for each night shift hour worked, and if you worked over half of your shift as late night (think it was after 9PM) you got that dollar for each hour for your entire shift, which was a nice way to counter required union dues as a part time employee.

Insurance is cheap and pretty good if you get it. They used to match 100% of whatever you put in 401k but now only match 100% of first 3% and 50% of next 2 %

Kroger benefits are equal to other large firms in Cincinnati. I personally did not find that benefits controlled by line managers, i.e., Work from Home or Time Off to be administered equitably. I hope that my experience was not typical.

I'm part-time, I don't have a 401k or anything like that. For the first two years part-timers only get a week off for vacation and two personal days, starting from their first year anniversary. Full-timers get 2 weeks off, but only 1 personal day.

You do get a employee discount but it's only on Kroger brand items, not anything in the whole store. Also very small increases in pay one dime per year. Its okay for a starting career but unless you are management find another job.

Best: vacation time, personal days, insurance. Worst: working holidays, not receiving a discount on other non kroger brand items.
