the best thing is they have a flex spending account which enables you to pay for prescriptions and eyeglasses. The flex spending account also allows you to cover other medically related costs.

Health insurance has recently gotten very bad and made it hard to continue working for this company. The health insurance used to be a great perk of working for this company and with the current plan it has left a lot to be desired.

Lots of vacation days, healthcare fairly good, but was significantly better a few years ago. Good matching for 401k, stock options.

Worst is you have to meet the biometric testing requirements to get a discount on the insurance. Best is you have two choices of insurances to better serve your needs.

Benefits were typical for position, but needed to wait the 90 day period before they went into effect. Paid holidays, but didn't get to enjoy them when scheduled to work.

Best: 21 days of vacation to start (includes sick days) plus 7 paid holidays. Flexible work hours in some office positions with ability to work from home.
Worst: health insurance is not great and is expensive with high deductibles and out of pocket max.

Since Covance merged with Labcorp, insurance options went down - less is covered, and medications have to be ordered mail order, often making them more expensive. The 401k policy is nice - Covance matches contributions - but the option to take out a loan or withdrawal is unavailable until you've been at the company for 5 years. The attendance policy runs on a rolling year, meaning occurrences don't drop off until one year from the date they happened. An employee gets 6 occurrences before being verbally warned, then 4 more before being written up and possibly fired. This is very stressful for the employees.
