I wish employer contributes more

they contribute quite a bit

The best thing about the 401k is the company match.

The company matched dollar for dollar of the first 5% or 6% applied towards your 401K.

Good company match percentage in place

The plan is administered via Fidelity & has decent fund options (large, mid, small cap, bonds, target funds, etc.). As of 2019, when you contribute to your plan, Nationwide matches 50% of the first 8% of your pay. However, it takes 5 years to fully vest. You're vested in employer contributions incrementally with 20% each year until 5 full years of service.

This is only for Nationwide associates. The 401K is incredible. They match at 50% for the first 8%. I believe there is a Pension too, but I do not know many details about that.
