Don't participate. Benefit and incentive is minuscule and with what out top 5 execs get paid every year why would I want to invest in a company with Gross EXCESSIVE CEO compensation

5% discount on stock price on the day of ESPP purchase. Not much of an incentive, really.

they offer a plan and I use it but the discount is only 5% and they only give you the price at the end of the period rather than best price of the range.

Any incentive to purchase is nominal at best.

This is the worst ESPP I have ever seen.
1) The discount on the share price is only 5%
2) The discount is only on the share price of the last day of the 6 months period, not the lower of the starting price or final price
3) Shares are often deposited fairly late in the brokerage account, sometimes up to 2 weeks, plenty of time for the stock price to potentially drop by more than the 5% discount
Even if you you succeed in capturing the full 5% discount and contribute the maximum 10% of salary, your ESPP profit, before taxes, will only represent 0.5% of your gross salary .

Stocks suck for Oracle. Company is pushing different things to excite the stock market so shares go up, employees lose in the end
