I had not worked from home before and this was a true advantage not only to me but to the company. The time to get ready for work, typically an hour to commute to and from, figure you are losing 3-4 hours a day which can be put to great use. I had customers globally, timezones etc. to manage projects and this made me more productive as an employee and more available as a parent. More companies should at least offer a combination of office/remote variety.

PTC allows employees to work from home. There used to be work from home employees spread across the world. But, that culture is changing now. They apparently don't like remote employees any more. I'm assuming employees who work at a PTC location are still allowed to work from home.

That is one of the greatest perks. Although, it depends on the manager and the type of job. R&D department though does not have problems with it: Full Remote access and Flexible hours.
