Depends on where you are, in NYC they offer PTO so you can do whatever you'd like with your vacation days. Regions, you have allotted sick days, vacation days and optional holidays. PTO is great because you can exhaust all your days and not have to designate some of them as sick days. Have allotted days is great as well if you leave the company because they're obligated to pay you those unused days.

Depending on level will determine what you get but the lowest is 24 days and then you get 5 additional days for every 5 years of service. PTO is inclusive of vacation, sick and personal day, no roll over or pay out, so you have to use it or you lose it.
