This is the 1 weakness of this company. There is no stable training program. All depends and how well your training manager executes the program they have designed.

Worst thing. You get one day of shadow training. That's it! So be fast learn quickly and it's just fine.

The job training is incredibly simple and stupid for the rigorous expectations they have of you. Stupid videos, a manager telling you to take notes, and classes where you go around the room and say "What did you want to be when you grow up? No one said Speedway? Well you're here now!" is utterly pointless at best and demoralizing at worst.

Speedway has remained the same for a very long time in the way they train their employees. They choose training managers that do a very poor job, leaving the manager that receives this employee to retrain with no hours. This is extremely stressful.

You get classroom courses at their office location, but most of the training is done in the store. You basically learn as you go. You have to periodically sit through their computer training which is in the store.

The best advice and learning I got cane from People that had been there a long time... I was originally trained by a girl that had only been there a few months

The job is easy to catch on to. It only took me two days to catch on to most of it. Wish they had done the cross training in a timely manner.
