Job Training

The worse is most of the time the employers dont have proper trainers, but the good thing is once you learn it it is very easy.

The best thing about the job training at subway is that you get paid for it and it isnt long.

Very sink or swim. I fortunately knew my way around Subway from before working at this particular location, but I watched time and time again people get thrown in without any training. I ended up providing training in hopes to have a smoother running shift, especially before the busy winter season.

When I was trained I was scheduled to work two "two hour" training shifts. I was thrown into everything without proper training and ended up working two eleven hour shifts. I was unprepared, uncomfortable, and fully untrained. The only reason I gave this two stars is because when I train new employees I make sure I do it correctly. Unfortunately I can't train everyone at every Subway.

Literally day one I was thrust into working the front-line on one of the busiest days of the week and the hardest jobs on the front-line. My manager told me that the best way to learn is to jump right in and do it, rather than just observing. I have to say I was scared but I went right along with it and did what she told me to do. At the end of the day, I was rewarded with a higher hourly wage than expected since I did so well. I was trained in other areas but I was often shown how to do a job once and then thrown into the position, it was very difficult for me to be by myself and not know how to do something but unable to ask someone else because they were too busy and had other things going on.

it was alright, nothing to complain about on an unbiased non-personal level

Training is paid. You're taught everything you need to know as far as the basics. Everything taught is within grasp of knowledge..

Difficult, fast-paced. Making a sandwich isn't as easy as you think it would be
