Changing to include parity for paternity leave

They let you leave, but they don't pay you for it which I think they should

Maternity is solid. 6-8 weeks of short term disability plus vacation up to 16 weeks. Paternity is non-existent, but will be available in 2016.

Target really helps with maternity and Paternity leave.

For how many young professionals work at Target, their maternity/paternity leave is low. They recently added 2 weeks for paternity leave, which is good. For maternity leave, I think you can take 12 weeks off but only get paid for the first 6. It is especially poor for hourly employees, who only get a portion of their pay even for the first few weeks.

You now can get up to I believe 5 weeks off for maternity, if I am mistaken its 2 weeks. You will be notified more upon hiring.

Maternity leave timeframes are changing. You will need to check with HR to see where this change impacts.
