Job Training

it was alright, just showed me around the bullding then threw a headset on my head and I got working.

I was trained for a week and then left out to dry.

Training is done on an iPad or on the computer. There is little actual personal training. You are shown how to make something once and then you rely on the build charts on how to make everything. The build charts are missing in my location so we have to check on the menu board to see how something is made.

90% of the training is done on an iPad, you follow another employee around during their shift as training so there isn't much one on one time for questions and thorough learning.

There are extensive videos that you have to watch to become an official employee, and the system they are set up on is incredibly slow and dysfunctional.

The training is mainly videos on a computer via a learning website that Tim Hortons runs. It's required for all employees, and it's a really annoying thing to do. I guess it's alright, because you get paid to sit and watch videos on how to make a sandwich, but still. I'd rather have had more hands on training.
