Free money for college. Military will pay up to $4500 annually for soldier to go to school for free or up to 18 Credit Hours, which ever comes first in one year. Must maintain a 2.0 GPA, and must not have any administrative action pending against you. In other words, stay out of trouble, you will be able to utilize free money for college. Associate's degree up to Master's Degree. Yellow Ribbon program is also an option. Soldiers have the option to use Post 9-11 G.I Bill or traditional MGIB. I recommend you use Post 9-11 G. I. Bill, you can utilize and get more for what it's worth. Books stipend up to $1,000 annually for most colleges.

New programs (post 9-11 GI bill) seem quite generous; haven't used them, but it sounds great. Older TA program required three days of increased service time (obligation) for every day spent in class (3 for 1). So if you were to qualify for a civilian schooling program and spend a year in school, your service time extended by 3 years.

Tuition assistance is available to anyone.

Army pays full tuition assistance while on active duty, and the Post 911 GI bill after separation.

The education benefits are unmatched. I have both my bachelors and Masters and have not paid a cent.

If you qualify for the Montgomery GI Bill or the Post 911 Bill, these two options will help cover the Cost of your Books along with Tuition Assistance for your College Courses, the Post 911 Bill can also be used to support your Souse and Dependents who may also wish to enroll in College while that option is available to them, not all Colleges may accept these offers for individuals that qualify and wish to enroll in College so it is wise to do your research. Overall, you can't go wrong by taking advantage of this offer, most jobs outside of the military can not afford to provide these options for their employers.
