The best and worst thing about job training at US Postal Service is that long orientations. Also I believe that the best part of the job training at US Postal Service is socializing with the new hires.

The initial training and academy are fine. Once you get to a poorly managed station however, you’ll likely not get trained on new routes or how to case when the regular makes a mess of theirs. They know these areas and their nuances, and can decipher the case, but if they won’t even train you on it, it’s overwhelming and takes forever trying to make sense of it and mark the packages.
