For the cost, the health insurance is top notch. I heard comments from every doctor's office I went to that my benefits were amazing.

Didn't cover my one-and-only prescription. Group policy that (when counting employer contribution) is more expensive than my previous individual policy and not nearly as good coverage. Good dental plan though if you fork out the cash for the upgrade.

The health insurance program has changed quite significantly over the last few years as they have eliminated the most popular option and given options to go with either a HealthFund or HSA. Each year a contribution is made by the company (HSA participants can make their own tax favored contribution as well), which helps defease some of the costs. If unused, these can be carried over from one year to the next.
Vanguard pairs this up with health focused programs through Aetna which, when completed, will lead Vanguard to make additional contributions to you Fund/HSA. Healthful activity such as going to the gym, getting a flu shot, an annual physical, enrolling in a weight loss/management course are all rewarded. Upwards of $375 (increasing to $500 in 2015) will be deposited based on the particular program and number of options completed. I appreciate this since it's basically rewarding me for doing the things that keep me healthy.
