Walgreens offers a wide variety of benefits to eligible team members designed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being while helping you balance work and life. In addition to company-paid life insurance and voluntary life & personal accident insurance, the benefits below are available to our team members.
Insurance cost rise every year, with best plans not in-network in this area. Poor raises and company now has salary max limits according to job title and the "region" that you work. No growth for employees, just headaches. Good luck affording your rising health insurance premium when you're unable to get a raise.
No sick time, only PTO and accrual rate stinks.

vacation/sick time is earned as you work. Earned time is put in a PTO bucket.

Great things about the company is that there are employee discounts for mostly all items in the store. There is a great 401k program with them. Also they have the full health insurance coverage that you can get through them.

They had a good inclusive package, but I've seen more robust packages other places that were not a Fortune 50 company.

used to have great 401k, now it sucks more than any other company. Medical benefits went down the tube and no coverage for ortha work

You begin accruing vacation time after 1 year of employment and the amount is average, nothing special. You receive a 25% discount on Walgreens/Nice! brand products and 15% off most other items in the store excluding dairy, alcohol, and tobacco. A Walgreens prescription savings club card is given to you for free with tax being the only cost to you which, while nothing special for most now that health insurance is required, is fantastic for pet prescriptions. I've been told the health insurance is great due to the $0 copay at the pharmacy I am not sure about it as I am a student and still covered under my parents insurance

Health Benefits get worst and worst each year, especially for a healthcare company.
They switched to PTO two years ago which screwed all the people who had never called out and now have weeks of sicks days built up. Now if that person calls out they have to use their PTO day first. It's nice seeing all the people who call out all the time have no vacation time, but frustrating to have all that sick time myself in the bank and not be able to touch it if I need to go out on surgery or take a sick day.
Employee discount did improve!
