I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon in Apr 2022
Interview
30 min phone screen with recruiter, online assessment that took me about 1.5-2 hours, then 5 one-hour back to back virtual interviews with 5 different people (1 interviewer per block; total of 5 hours). You can chose to have these split between one day or two days. I chose one day to knock them all out.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you failed and what did you learn, tell me about a time you were behind on a deadline, tell me about time you had to make a decision fast with not a lot of data, tell me about your greatest client story, tell me about a time you got feedback, tell me about a time you had to influence stakeholders. TON of behavioral questions. They'll ask a bunch of follow ups. Have data and results ready to share. Data is huge....how much did you increase customer success? How many openings did you recruit and fill? What were your metrics? How many clients did you have? etc
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (New York, NY) in Jul 2022
Interview
The interview process was about 5 hours in length, focusing primarily on the leadership principles and using the STAR method to answer each behavioral based interview question. Each of the rounds were back-to-back and there was a short break to split up the day, however the whole 5 hour interview was in 1 day.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time when you faced a difficult decision. What was the decision and what would you have done differently, if anything?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amazon (Troy, MI) in Dec 2021
Interview
Interview process is rigorous. It included a phone screen with a peer then a 5 hour long "loop" with back to back interviewers each with an hour interview. Primarily behavior based questions which focus on their leadership principles. One benefit is Amazon does get back to you very quickly. Their goal is within 5 days of your interview. My best advice is study the leadership principles and stick to the STAR method for answering the questions.
