HR call to learn about my background, then hiring manager 1-1, then panel with several managers that I would interact with, all lasting about an hour. Finally a 3 hour panel interview. That was almost a month ago. A reference of mine said they were called 2 weeks ago. Still nothing. I emailed HR a week ago. Nothing. It has been 11 weeks since I applied and interviewed. I made the final round and I still don’t know! It was also strange because the hiring manager was not in the final panel interview. In fact, I got a meeting update the day of the panel interview with his name removed. When I asked about it, the senior manager on the call got annoyed and said “he is not the hiring manager” and was told someone else on the call was. Ok. So he lied about it? Or got fired at some point? It was quite strange. Look, Baylor seems ok overall. But I would not apply again in the enrollment area where I interviewed. I met super nice people and some strange people as well. And the pay is way low, which I was willing to consider for a great atmosphere and good benefits. But I’m not sure about the culture there. I just looked up my candidate status and I’m still under consideration, ha.
