I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CCS Fundraising (New York, NY) in Aug 2024
Interview
I was recruited on LinkedIn by HR to interview for the role of Consultant/Director. A few days later, I had a brief call with HR. A few days after that, I had a formal video interview with HR. The following week, I had a video interview with a team leader that went very well!! She asked situational questions as well as regular interview questions about my education and work experience. Then right after, I was asked to make a deck based on a two page writing assessment I also had to complete. Shortly after, they asked me to come interview at their offices in person with two other people who were in a similar role to the one I was interviewing for. That went superb as well! I kept getting good feedback and quickly pushed through the process. On my way out, the team lead told me explicitly that "new hires always meet with the partner of the team as a formality but it's truly just a 20 min call!" so if I got that last step, I essentially had the role. After a week, I did indeed have that final call and it also went swimmingly! He told me I had all the skills and experience to exceed in this role and also told me I had a very impressive resume! I was just waiting for an offer letter at this point. They had lead me on for weeks about how perfect I was for the role only to ghost for almost 2 weeks until I got a vague email for the original HR person saying it was a competitive process and they went with someone else.
I have heard that this is common practice for CCS internally and for interviewing candidates so beware!

Question 1
How would you handle a Board Member interrupting your presentation?
I applied online. I interviewed at CCS Fundraising (Chicago, IL) in Jun 2026
Interview
My interviewers (Central region) were kind, transparent, and friendly. The questions were relevant, and oriented towards understanding my insights and background. The 2nd round interview was a presentation of the case I was assigned. It went smoothly, and the follow up questions were thoughtful but not tricky.

Question 1
What are some key indicators you'd look for to determine campaign success?
I applied to CCS in August 2024 and they took me through the entire process only to let me go via generic email. A year later, with more experience, I circled back to HR and asked to talk about interviewing again. They agreed and I interviewed with HR on October 10 and then they had me doing an extensive writing exercise (the same one as last summer) which I submitted on October 24. After following up, I heard back form HR only to be rejected again. I won't be interviewing here again. Not only am I absolutely qualified but their communication is not up to par and they won't give candidates feedback on their writing assignments that take hours of uncompensated labor.

Question 1
What experience have you gained in the last year that make you a bettr fit this year?
I applied online. I interviewed at CCS Fundraising (Dublin, Dublin) in Oct 2025
Interview
It involves several stages. It began with a general presentation of the company by HR, followed by an interview with HR. After that, they sent me an assignment to complete within five days, which I was expected to present in person. However, due to what they described as “internal company policies,” they did not provide any feedback or explanation as to why I was not given the opportunity to present my work.
It is very disrespectful that after four months in a process they are uncapable of giving you any sort of feedback.
Tells a lot of an organisation.
