      Director Interview

      May 9, 2025
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at CCS Fundraising in May 2025

      Interview

I completed 4 rounds of interviews: An initial "coffee chat" with a recruiter, a formal interview with a recruiter, a panel interview with 2 other directors, and a panel interview with 2 Senior Vice Presidents. In between the interview with the recruiter and directors, I completed a writing assignment that involved creating a memo and some slides for a non-profit looking to expand, which took about 4-5 hours to complete. The process was also pretty long — I submitted my application in early February and didn't receive an offer until May, the same day as my final round interview. I also had a gap of about a month and a half between submitting my writing assignment and having my first interview with consultants.

      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at CCS Fundraising (Chicago, IL) in Jun 2026

      Interview

My interviewers (Central region) were kind, transparent, and friendly. The questions were relevant, and oriented towards understanding my insights and background. The 2nd round interview was a presentation of the case I was assigned. It went smoothly, and the follow up questions were thoughtful but not tricky.

      Interview

I applied to CCS in August 2024 and they took me through the entire process only to let me go via generic email. A year later, with more experience, I circled back to HR and asked to talk about interviewing again. They agreed and I interviewed with HR on October 10 and then they had me doing an extensive writing exercise (the same one as last summer) which I submitted on October 24. After following up, I heard back form HR only to be rejected again. I won't be interviewing here again. Not only am I absolutely qualified but their communication is not up to par and they won't give candidates feedback on their writing assignments that take hours of uncompensated labor.

What experience have you gained in the last year that make you a bettr fit this year?

      Director Interview

      Feb 17, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Dublin, Dublin
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at CCS Fundraising (Dublin, Dublin) in Oct 2025

      Interview

It involves several stages. It began with a general presentation of the company by HR, followed by an interview with HR. After that, they sent me an assignment to complete within five days, which I was expected to present in person. However, due to what they described as “internal company policies,” they did not provide any feedback or explanation as to why I was not given the opportunity to present my work. It is very disrespectful that after four months in a process they are uncapable of giving you any sort of feedback. Tells a lot of an organisation.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Why are you interested in CCS Fundraising? What attracts you to working with nonprofit organizations? What experience do you have managing multiple projects simultaneously? Tell me about a time you managed a demanding client. How do you manage deadlines and competing priorities? Tell me about a conflict with a colleague and how you resolved it. Salary expectations and planned holidays
