I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ChargePoint (Phoenix, AZ) in Jan 2019
Interview
Contacted by recruiter to give availability. Gave availability, set date, never received a call. e-mailed recruiter and received a response later in the afternoon the next day, apologizing. Set something else up. She called and gave an overview of the process and then launched into questions, did not follow what she had outlined. Honestly, I am not sure she knew what she was interviewing me for. The interview lasted 9 minutes and I could not wait to get off the phone. IT was not a good representation of the company.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ChargePoint (Scottsdale, AZ) in Sep 2018
Interview
Initial contact was with corporate recruiter via LinkedIn. Followed by a phone interview. She did not have many specifics about the job, was only able to provide generalities about the company. Three weeks went by before I heard from her again after reaching out via email and a phone interview with local on-site manager was set. Complete phone interview and set on-site interview for three days later. Complete on-site interview, during which time interviewer has to take two calls from senior manager. I understand things happen but it was still an interesting note. Leave interview with understanding other candidates are being considered and I would hear soon. A week goes by and I follow up via email, no response. Five days later a response comes says the interview process is still happening and to be patient. Another eighteen days go by and I follow up again, no response. Another week goes by and finally a response and scheduled phone follow up informing me I havent been selected for this position but they would like to find something for me and I would hear from another recruiter. Two additional weeks go by and I finally hear from another recruiter asking for my availability for another on-site interview. I submit my availability. That week goes by and I hear nothing. Finally another email asking for additional availability for on-site interview at which time I decline to proceed further.
Overall it has been a three month long process with no resolution. I understand recruiting takes time and recruiters and hiring managers have lots of work to do, but I felt that my time was not respected during this process. I felt like I was being strung along during this process and it left me with a negative view of this company which is disappointing because I truly feel this is a great product and a business I was really excited about. I really hope someone takes time to read this review and they reevaluate how they complete recruiting of external candidates.
