Interview
I had an interview with the recruiter. It went well. Had an hour long interview with technical designers about my skills and past experiences. After that got an email notifying me I would have a response within a few days and then never heard back.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Chico's FAS (Fort Myers, FL) in Apr 2015
Interview
I had three separate telephone interviews, then was flown down for a full day of interviews at the home office. The first telephone interview was with head HR recruiter who was very nice, but oversold Florida and I feel was very deceptive. The second phone interview was two weeks later with the director of the department, who also oversold Florida. The third phone interview was a week after 2nd one, and that was with who would be my direct manager.
After the last phone interview, I was flown down to Florida two weeks later. There I was required to take a personality test, do technical skill evaluations in front of 3 people who would be my team members. Then I had 5 separate in person interviews. One was the the director of the department again, another was the hiring manager again, and the other 3 would be cross functional partners.

Interview
First the Human Resources Coordinator called me and asked me why I would like to be a technical designer. Then she set up an interview with the Corporate Recruiter. She gave me a time and date of the interview. First, my boyfriend answered the phone and handed it to me ( he must have thought that was the thing to do, but I told him I would answer it). Then, I'm sure she had 100 more interviews, because she was going through the questions quickly. She asked me what were my salary requirements and all the other questions you can expect, like what are your weaknesses. The best advice I have is to study the answers you are going to give like a movie script. Have a paper near, but I wouldn't read off of it. And Know, Know, Know the salary for the position you are applying for. Also, apply for a position you are qualified for and have proof of why you are qualified for a certain position. Well she didn't offer me a job because I should have been applying for an assistant technical design positon.
