I applied online. I interviewed at Chorus (San Francisco, CA) in Dec 2020
Interview
There were quite a few rounds and also a project at the end to be presented. They moved quickly though the rounds though and were very flexible with my timeline. I was interviewed by a diverse cast of team members from across the company and they mostly asked behavioral or qualitative problem solving questions. Everyone seemed friendly and engaging but also dug deep into my though process.

Question 1
If you were a PM and I was a designer, how would we work together to launch the perfect mug?
The internal recruiter reached out via Linkedin and we met for coffee. I had another coffee meeting with the Head of Product a few days later. I progressed with a final onsite interview that includes a whiteboarding session and presentation. The presentation is based on the assignment they shared with me a few days prior to onsite.
The assignment was two parts. First part is taking a feature most of us encounter in a work tool and explaining the hypothesis, success definition, metrics, and use cases. The second part is doing something similar but tackling a more concrete product challenge that is related to Chorus's own product.
Overall, the team (everyone I met) was very responsive and communication is solid. And more importantly, I had an assumption about the company culture and it is validated. From the interview process, I sense a culture that puts a lot of emphasis on learning. This is crucial for success in a growing startup and I can continue to vouch for this after joining the team and working on the product. All in all, this was a smooth and responsive interview process.
