They have a recruiter that calls and gets all your info and explains the company to you. Then you go in for an interview with him and it’s pretty standard. Then things get....weird.
You go in for a second interview with “leaders.” They ask you to wear a suite despite the fact that it’s a casual work environment (I’m in a suite interviewing with a guy in shorts and flip flops). They go thru the trouble of printing out a name tag with a “team” number on it but when you get to the room with 30 other applicants the tables are not labeled and there are not enough chairs at the tables for everyone assigned. Really an awkward way to come into a company. Then they go on and an on for an hour about how great of a place it is to work, but everyone in the video they show seems like they are reading the same script. The environment is stale. After a game kids play in elementary school that they draw painfully obvious team work lessons that resonates with camp. Then you wait with the other 30 people awkwardly while they play dance music and wait for some random people open the door and call your name. Like your getting picked for a team in gym class. The guy who interviewed me was awkward and seemed completely disinterested for the first greeting. They asked me to bring copies of my resume but then printed a copy for everyone anyway. Despite best efforts to have a organic conversation, he read from the scripted questions and just wrote my answers down word for word. All the questions were standard and he asked no probing and follow up questions.
