I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Connecteam
Interview
First- this is a plain sales position and not much of an account manager since you do not manage accounts...
Overall the process was fine but it seems that they have a lot to learn regarding their HR, interviews, and screening process.
Stages were:
1. HR personal interview (I think it was the office manager) via Zoom
2. Home test about a feature ( 20 multiple-choice, 8 open-ended questions, and 2 short videos about yourself)
3. In-person interview and demo.
While preparing for the home test and demo- I found that many features are not so intuitive and things aren’t explained well and therefore you cannot explain it well or understand what is it that they do.
I know about at least 4 other super talented and experienced candidates that did not continue and received feedback in the forms of "lack of experience" while the sales team employees have majored in arts or did not graduate from their B.A.
All things considered, I got the impression that they're looking for mall kiosks pushy salespeople.
The interviewer was the living stereotype of the startup ecosystem...
**Employees that I have talked to say it is a very “military-like” environment
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What is the "Jobs" in Connecteam's time clock? What would a coffee shop (using Connecteam) probably set as their jobs?
What could be a reason that I need to create several time clocks?
What is the difference between the today tab and the timesheets tab?
A potential customer asks you - "I want to know if Connecteam is good for my business" - What will you reply?
Theoretically, how will you answer the following question: "Hello, I would like to cancel my free trial account, I'm not interested anymore. Can you help me?"
Submitted my resume through LinkedIn and they got back to me. First interview was a zoom interview asking basic surface level questions. Person couldn’t really answer my questions about the actual job itself. Next step was an AI interview they only provided a basic video that wasn’t very helpful. Then you had 2 attempts to do it. I did them based on all the info in the video but when they got back they said I didn’t go into enough depth to get the next interview. I personally think this wasn’t fair due to the lack of info they provided before hand they excepted so much more than what they actually provided.

Question 1
Why sales? Why Connecteam? Why are you looking to leave current job?
I recently completed a home test with an AI prospect. Unfortunately, I didn’t pass. The recruiter, however, was extremely kind and supportive throughout the process, which made the experience much more positive. While I didn’t get the result I was hoping for, I see it as a great learning opportunity and a chance to keep building my skills for the next challenge.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Connecteam in Oct 2025
Interview
The interview process at Connecteam was exceptionally professional and efficient. Throughout every stage, I was kept well informed about the current status and next steps, with no unnecessary delays along the way. What stood out most was the sense of mutual respect; it truly felt like the hiring team wanted me to evaluate them just as much as they were evaluating me.
Having previously served as a hiring manager myself, I can confidently say that the Connecteam recruitment team sets the standard. They met, and exceeded, every benchmark for a well-structured and candidate-centric hiring process.
