I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dyson (Singapore) in Feb 2021
Interview
HR randomly dial my phone number and ask if available for a chat - HR did not bother to ask about availabilities on email. She then proceeded with basic questions like what I do etc and whenever I have questions for her, she was unable to respond and said to ask hiring manager. Moved on to hiring manager and it was a horrible experience. Hiring manager was very rude (Now I understand why there are pages and pages of bad reviews on company culture) and continuously doubt what I say/make incorrect conclusions and assumptions on her end. Entering this company is a red flag. I love Dyson product but such culture is extremely disappointing.

Question 1
Why Dyson, What do you think about writing your own html, Why do you want to leave your company? What are the challenges at your company?
My interview experience with Dyson Malaysia was disappointing and did not meet my expectations of a professional interview process. I felt that my experience and background were not treated with respect, as some responses and comments from the interviewers came across as dismissive and sarcastic.
When I politely declined to disclose confidential information about my current employer, I expected my decision to be respected as part of professional ethics. However, the reaction made me feel uncomfortable and pressured.
An interview should be a respectful two-way discussion. Unfortunately, this experience left me with a negative impression of the company’s interview culture.
I went through 3 rounds of interviews and was told I’d hear back within 1–2 weeks about their final decision. I never did. I followed up twice to check in and was completely ignored. After investing that much time and energy into the process, the lack of basic communication was really disappointing. Not responding at all after multiple interviews feels disrespectful and unprofessional. A short rejection email would have been enough. Do better.

Question 1
Final interview mainly consisted of behavioral questions, where I was asked to talk about past experiences, how I dealt with certain challenges, and how I would approach different hypothetical situations.
My interview at Dyson was both challenging and inspiring. The team clearly values creativity, technical expertise, and a deep passion for the brand. The process was structured yet engaging, giving me a real sense of Dyson’s innovative culture.
