I was called for the interview through phone. The first round was F2F interview with 2 panel members. Both of them are less experienced people probably with less than 5 years of experience. They interview went well, I was confident with all my answers and all the questions were pretty simple and straight forward mostly from interview questions. I have answered almost all of them. They asked me to wait in the reception and after few minutes the HR asked me to leave for the day as the panel will inform the results later that day but after that I didn't get any info about it. Since I was fully confident I have done well I was hoping for a positive answer. After a week I called and asked for update and the HR is saying I was not selected as I was not string enough in testing basics. I was really not able to understand it. I could able to answer all the questions related to Java, Selenium and Manual testing, Agile etc since I am working in it but testing basics .. seriously ?? Not sure if I am missing anything or something but as far as I know, I have answered almost 90% of the questions related to Selenium, TestNG, Java.
