First off, I received an informal text to schedule and interview from the Operations Manager rather than an email so I already thought it was a little weird. When I arrived the Manager that contacted was not doing my interview. During the interview, I was not asked a single question about my interest/qualifications or the usual questions asked when introducing yourself. The two interviewers spoke only of the how great working for this company is and nothing else. With how long they spoke of themselves and their company they didn't allow me the opportunity to present myself and what I'm looking for. I ended up realizing in the middle of the interview that they had no idea what position I actually applied for. Turns out, they thought I was applying to be a entry level warehouse/store associate. I had tell them exactly the position I actually applied for, and their response was letting me know that the supervisor position is filled and offered I come in as an associate as I can move up quickly. I then stated this is not what I'm looking for and dismissed myself in the middle of the interview.

Applied online. A manager contacted me and wanted to set up an in-person interview as they were interviewing for a new store opening. We got a date set and I had to reschedule it for the next week. That process was about two weeks. I met with the recruiting manager or whatever her position was and the new store manager. They asked about my experience, why I wanted to work there, asked a few questions about management experience, and talked about what I wanted for pay. I wish they did a phone screen because the pay was way under what I was making. They said around 15-17/hr for this position. Literally this interview could've and should've been a phone screen to save us both time and my commute. Got an email over a week later saying I wasn't chosen to continue in the interview process, but it was kind of obvious I wasn't into the position after hearing the low pay. Save time and do a simple phone screen before wasting so much time.
