A recruiter will reach out to you, set up an interview with the hiring manager, you have an interview and you either get called back or not. If you don’t get a call back, you get zero contact or explanation of why they picked some else.

Interview
I first has a phone interview that was about 30 minutes. Basic questions about your experience. I then had an interview in the office with three different people. Each of those was about 30 minutes. Overall it was a really great experience and you can tell that their employees care a lot about their work.

First of all, the corporate recruiter I spoke to was terrible and frankly she had no people skills! She said I was not a fit for this particular role because there were specific skills and/or experience was lacking, however I did not have those skills or experience listed on my resume! So she clearly did not read through my resume thoroughly, which is her job! Furthermore, I asked about schedule/hours of the job to ensure if it was Monday through Friday and she responds “uh yeah this is a corporate job..” insinuating I was dumb. I also asked about benefits to which she claims they usually don’t talk about that at this stage of the interview process but she told me how much the position pays. So you cannot talk about benefits but can go right into what it’s paying? Without a doubt the WORST Phone interview I have had. There is no need to be rude to prospective employees. My advise to her superiors is to ensure you have quality recruiters scoping out prospects and also make sure they have people skills!
