A few days before the interview, I received a phone call expressing interest in interviewing me. Unfortunately, I was going to be out of town. I tried to reach the person who left me the message, but I was unable to. There was no email address, only a phone number for their support desk.
I called a couple of times and the person who answered took the message and said they would deliver it. Keep in mind that the person who left the voicemail did not leave an email address or direct contact number. I guess the assumption was to show up at this day and time, period.
I finally got ahold of the person who called me, but they were unhelpful. It was hands down a very unprofessional experience. It was unfortunate because I was excited about the opportunity, and I have spent a lot of money with them during a remodel.
For a public company, this was not a good representation of their brand. In today's market, candidate experience is out the window.
