I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Freshworks (Gurgaon, Haryana) in Feb 2020
Interview
1. Applied online.
2. Received a call from a recruiter
3. Was called for F2F interview/s at co-working space in Gurgaon
It all started with me applying for the role at freshworks (as I have been following them from long and thought they are a professional company) and then I got a call from a recruiter who after doing a small screening invited me for a F2F interview at a co-working space in Gurgaon.
I was called for interview/s on Saturday at 9 AM (they did not even bother to tell it may get stretched as well so come prepared) which never happened on time and it started around 10:30 AM.
My first interview was with a Technical guy who was just a six months old in company after graduating from college. Though, I felt he asked some genuine questions and made sense throughout the discussion. But, it's like a joke when you have 7+ years' experience and someone with six months' experience takes your interview. It puts a serious question and shows the company is so casual with its approach. I have worked with some really big companies and they follow a process before letting someone take an interview for the company.
After this round, the recruiter told me that I have been selected for the second round which is a presentation round and for which I have to wait as the interviewers had not reached the venue then. Around 1:30 PM recruiter came to me and said I have to go through one more round with Technical Manager (more experienced this time) before going for a presentation round. I was asked some basic sales, lead generation, pipeline progression questions and given a situation like how would I sell freshworks to some big companies. Till this point everything was fine but what I really did not like about the company is they called for an interview on Saturday and then did not even bother to ask about food, tea, coffee etc. Trust me one of the interviewers who was having peanuts during the interview said, "you're lucky that you have had food as we were not even offered that so having peanuts."
After this round, I had to wait till 4 PM when I was finally called for a presentation round where the person was hardly interested in taking interview or even working for freshworks. The moment I entered he said please make it fast as I have a lot of work to do. He did not listen to what I was saying, did not look at the presentation and did not ask any questions. He lacked in communication skills and was continuously attending phone calls or entertaining his other colleague who in the mid of the interview entered the room and was asking him to help him in filling some metrics.
If you think this was it then hold on, I ruined the whole day and then waited for ages to get feedback from the recruiter. After 3-4 reminders (15-20 days) she finally responded saying we have filled this position.
I had a good image of freshworks when I first got a call from them but now I think they are like any typical old fashioned company that is so casual while hiring people and am sure they will pay price for it in times to come.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Freshworks (Paris) in Jun 2025
Interview
The recruitment process was good and well-managed, with several stages (Recruitment, Hiring manager, Country leader, SVP of) and ending with a final panel interview following by a great discussion with the HR Business Partner.
What stood out most was the strong human approach throughout the process, especially in the final round, where we discussed topics beyond just business. I appreciated the quick and useful feedback after each stage.
Expectations were clearly explained from the beginning, and the varied professional backgrounds of the interviewers gave me a clear idea of the role and the company culture. The team interactions and work environment made my experience better.
I also contacted several current employees to hear their opinions. They were open, honest, and very helpful.
The whole process took around two to three months and was extremely well-organized by the recruitment team. I highly recommend this recruitment experience.
