Interview
I delivered an application physically in the store. Since i was a frequent customer at the time, I often spoke with the store manager and through this, he became aware that i was knowledgeable about the gaming industry. When an opening came up, he called me up and we agreed on a time to come in and be introduced to the job, the store and everything else.
The interview was conducted in the store while customers came in and left, i was introduced to the company, its policies as well as the POS and general sales process.
At the time i was taking a 12 week educational course in sales and service, basic accounting and IT, which i guess also made me a sensible choice for the store. Furthermore i was always available and lived close-by.

Easy and casual interview. The person doing the interview was really nice which made the process go pretty smooth. It didn’t really feel like a typical comprehensive interview given how short it was. I think they were just trying to fill an open role ASAP.
It was an informal scenario-based situational hypothetical situation with a semi-scripted correct answer type format. Super casual and friendly, initially with the assistant manager, then with the store manager, and eventually a phone interview with the regional manager

Interview
It was easy but they were slow to respond. Questions very basic, attitude and what customer service means to you. That kind of stuff. I didn't get a call or any follow up until I called them again.
