I had an extremely disappointing interview experience at the corporate office in Grapevine, TX. The process was back-to-back with a recruiter screening on the first day, a phone interview with the hiring manager the next day, and an in-person interview with the hiring manager and another manager the next day. Both the phone interviews went smoothly, and I was told the process was going “very well”. The in-person interview was casual, not many typical questions but more of a brief get-to-know you and see the office situation. I was greeted briskly by the hiring manager who just said “are you ready?” when picking me up at the lobby, they did not introduce themselves or ask who I was. It seemed that they wanted to see if I was a culture fit, because when asked by the director to tell them about myself and giving them my professional background, I was asked to tell them about my personal life. They did share about the team dynamic and office culture, which was a bit concerning as they openly described themselves as in “their own bubble”. I was then given a short tour, during which, the 2nd manager got distracted talking to another staff member and did not officially end my interview, thank me for my time, or even tell me goodbye. The hiring manager showed me another part of the office, then walked me out and I almost felt shooed away as they told me to just email with any additional questions I might have later. I did not hear anything for two weeks, but did receive a general rejection email at about 1:00 AM a bit later. Overall, very poor experience and left me with an unfriendly, cliquey, and unprofessional impression of the company.
