I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Gigster in May 2017
Interview
I went through a series of phone screens followed by an onsite with a practical component. The screens were fairly standard and focused on experience and behavioral questions. During the onsite I was given a set of 3 questions and 3 hours to answer the questions and prepare the presentation. The presentation was quite challenging with lots of questions that attempted to uncover thought processes.
Everyone was very professional and friendly. Overall it was a good experience and a company with a great vision which is why I accepted the role.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Gigster (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
I had 3 calls with their Customer Success and sales team spread out over about a month. I was then brought on site for an all day interview that went from 9-6. On site, they were late in beginning my interviews. Although most were very professional and kind, a few of the interviewers were very smug and it was clear they only wanted to prove how smart they were. After giving me a set of practical questions, a college-like project, and 5 + hours to complete, I was to give my presentation at 5. They got out of a meeting at 515. Overall this company is very unprofessional, they are not considerate of your time, and they expect you to work for free. I'd recommend staying away and certainly don't waste a day of your time on their severely broken interview process.
