I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Intercom (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2018
Interview
5 stages of interviews. All on different days. It's a long process and is quite time-consuming. I'll detail below.
1st stage - video interview that takes an hour long. Questions appear on screen and you record an answer.
2nd - phone interview with the recruiter. This took an hour long.
3rd - video interveiw with 2 managers asking competency based questions. This took an hour.
4th - video interview with a technical manager asking technical questions. This took an hour.
5th - an interview onsite where you are interviewed by 5 different people/departments. I didn't get through to this round but was advised by the recruiter of the stages and as per their blog on their website.
Considering that I work full-time, and that I work during office hours, I found it different to find time off (and had to use holiday time) to attend these stages.
Intercom request that you attend their interviews during office hours (when many people work) which poses problematic. At one stage I actually had to explain to my current manager/employer that I'm in the middle of an interview process, as it was that time-consuming.
If I was unemployed I would have had the time to attend all these interviews, but then again employers don't look at your CV. So it's a game of catch 22.
I think this interview process is not very well thought out and there is no reason why any company needs to do 5 interviews (especially for a customer support role).
Sure, we only had about 5 rounds of debates for the Presidential Elections here in Ireland, and that was for the highest office in the land! Intercom is certainly having notions!
In the end, they sent me an email that I didn't get brought to the fifth round of interviews (where I would have had to meet 5 different people from different departments) and advised to keep an eye out for future roles! I don't think I'd be willing to go through such a lengthy process again, unfortunately.
The interviewers along the way were nice and engaging, but the process is extreme and extortionate.

Interview
First call with a recruiter, then a writing assignment and then a call with a manager. Good communication from recruiter and fast process when moving to the next steps. Each call is usually about 30-60 minutes.

Interview
3 Rounds of interviewing: 1st w/ recruiting mgr, 2nd w/ team mgr, 3rd is a 3 hr. interview w/ several different dept. mgrs. This process took about 2 weeks.
Their decision process also took 2 weeks. Scheduling issues arose, which caused 2 delays in getting a response. This was my second time applying/ interviewing, the same thing happened both times.

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intercom (Sydney)
Interview
I had to pass the video screening. I then spoke to the recruiter and went in to meet the manager and associate manager. I then had to do a 2 hour online interview with technically 4 interviewers (half an hour with each) and there were 5 people shadowing.
The best bit was meeting everyone. The workers seemed happy and the workplace looked great and whoever I met or smiled at seemed friendly. The recruiter-based in the U.S-was exceptional. However the process was too long and the 2-hour online interview was not conducive to a full-time worker's schedule. I disliked the video screening. I was told I'm not ready for Intercom just yet and to keep on applying but I don't think I will.
