I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at JD Group (London, England)
Interview
WAS LEAN BACK NOT FORMAL AT ALL. WAS CHILL
dont wear a suit
i applied in person, got an interview in the next 2 days. was easy, casual conversation.must highlight good customer service skills and team work. must know the company and what they sell
interview took less than 15 mins, they called the next day saying i got it
The process was very poor. Firstly I was taken half an hour late, while managers and senior staff members congregated around the door just looking at me from time to time. I was then asked to follow one of them through to the back room of the store. The questions seemed to be very similar to one another, focusing on mainly providing good customer service. They were very vague questions and I wasn't always sure what I was meant to be answering due to the fact the interviewer kept messing up her sentences. It only lasted about 10 minutes and I was never contacted again, not even with a rejection letter as I should have received the following weekend if I was unsuccessful.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at JD Group in Jun 2016
Interview
I handed my CV in store and was phone about 2 to 3 weeks later to come in for the following day.
As I entered the store I was around 10 minutes early to make a good impression, I told a member of staff that I was here for an interview and they notified the manager straight away but the manager ignored me and walked passed me several times before he acknowledged me. I found this very rude as I was here out of my own time.
When I finally got in the back room he was very informal, saying 'sound' after everything I said and the interview was very rushed and didn't let me express my true self. Also members of other staff would interrupt while I was talking by walking in. I found this very rude.
I have also heard comments from people that when you do hand you're CV into JD stores they apparently laugh at what people put. I find this very unprofessional.
After the interview he told me I would hear back within by the following Wednesday. Nearly a month on and I still haven't heard anything. Will not be applying there again and actually glad I haven't heard anything back.
